Studio Operations Director
The Studio Operations Director will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our new integrated Studio. S/he will lead and shape a growing team of both Production and Graphic Artists, while also playing an active role in producing mechanicals. S/he while also overseeing process & policy adherence and consistencies across all IN offices.
The Studio Operations Manager will manage the enitre Production Team, including building hi-res mechanical art files to be released OTV (out to vendor); high-res image retouching; and organizing & archiving client digital assets. This role also includes managing incoming workflow, as well as estimating timelines, budgets and any contractor needs for the team.
In addition, the Studio Operations Manager will be able to identify and develop Graphic Artists into design resources to support the Creative Department. In partnership with the Creative Department, s/he will also be responsible hands-on in executing the new vision of the Studio Department into a hub for content generation. This will include the future development Video, Photography and 3D capabilities for the Studio.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
MANAGING PRODUCTION TEAM: Manage day-to-day Studio Team needs, as well as incoming workload. Communicate with PM / Client Service Teams on resources, timing, and prioritizing deadlines for the day/week. Studio Operations Director will evaluate workload and provide feedback on timing and deliverables. Also Providing oversight and leadership to Production Teams across total organization.
• HIGH-RES MECHANICALS: After collaborating with PM/CS, Designers, Art Directors and/or Creative Directors, the Studio Operations Director and Team will build all element layouts (in Hi Res) to proper specifications and requirements. The Studio Director prepares files per our standard to ensure a flawless execution and print production of all program elements.
• RETOUCHING: When necessary, Studio Operations Director will estimate and get approvals, then retouch high-res elements as directed by Creative Team. Such as, Client Brand Product Shots, newly purchased Stock images, client brand provided creative with revisions, as well as many additional miscellaneous requests.
MANAGING GRAPHICS TEAM: Manage day-to-day Graphics Team needs, as well as incoming workload. Communicate with PM / Creative Teams on resources, timing, and prioritizing deadlines for the day/week. After receiving request from PM / Creative teams on specific program needs, Studio Operations Director will evaluate workload and provide feedback on timing and deliverables.
• GRAPHIC LAYOUTS: After collaborating with Art Directors, ACD’s and/or Creative Directors, the Studio Operations Director will guide his team to design and blowout multiple layouts/versions based on original designed layout(s) provided by Creative Team. This could mean taking a key visual and translating it to shelf talkers, banners, coupons, etc.
ASSET MANAGEMENT: The Studio Operations Director properly names, codes and archives all critical final creative so it can be easily retrieved for future request. All brand product shots are organized and made available in a general location for Creative Teams/ High-res Studio to use in future.
• ASSET REQUEST: Clients often request product shots, past final high-res creative, Ads, POS, Sellsheets, etc. to utilize for e-commerce as well as circ ads, Studio Director will search and sometimes moderately edit, and provide to our clients.
DEVELOPING THE STUDIO: The Studio Operations Director will work directly with SVP CD in developing the Studio into a content generation hub. Hence; establishing the Studio as a resource for Video, Photography, 3D and Art.
- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
(Preferred): Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
5+ Years of experience in Graphic Design; 1-3 yrs. supervising a Studio Team
