    Position Summary

     

    The Embedded Strategic Planning Manager provides turnkey solutions that will help drive sales for their assigned categories, while identifying merchant / department pain points for demo strategies. This role will identify opportunities for the customer or client and will act as a liaison between multiple teams ensuring continuity throughout a project’s entirety.

     

     

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities


     Strategic Planning


    • Work with Sales Teams to set department demo strategy, creating an implementation strategy for the Merchant
    • Provide client/supplier forecasts, new items, big bets to the team obtained from buyers and Sales Teams with the flexibility to change while sitting on-site at the Walmart Home Office.
    • Create a playbook of yearly platforms that merchants can utilize to guide their suppliers to the most relevant demo timing for their items

     

    Relationship Management

     

    • Forecast and create an annual demo plan, providing recommendations for demo timing etc.
    • Liaison between Demo Team, Merchant, Supplier, and Advantage team, ensuring that a consistent message is being delivered to all parties
    • Develop effective client and retailer relationships to facilitate communication and execution with internal departments to ensure that deliverables are successfully achieved

     

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities

     

    Direct Reports
    - This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

     

    Indirect Reports
    - May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

     

     

    Travel and/or Driving Requirements

    - Travel is not an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is an essential duty or function of this job.
    - Travel up to 5%

     

     

    Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job


    Education Level:

    (Required): Associate's Degree or 5 years equivalent experience
    (Preferred): Bachelor's Degree Or 5 years equivalent experience

     

    Field of Study/Area of Experience: Sales/Business Development
    5+ Years of experience with Walmart and experience within CPG industry and shopper marketing a plus.

     

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Strong Written & Verbal Communication Skills
    Excellent Customer Service Skills
    Ability to Gather Data, Compile Information, & Prepare Reports
    Well Organized, Detail Oriented, & able to Handle Fast Paced Work Environment
    Ability to Work Independently & Prioritize with minimal supervision, in order to Meet Deadlines
    Basic Computer Skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, & web browsers
    Strong Priortizing Skills

     

     

    Environmental & Physical Requirements 

    Office / Non-Sedentary Requirements
    Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
