    Director Business Development – Digital

     

    The Director of Business Development will provide digital leadership on new and existing client relationships within the Demo/Experiential team. As Director Business Development you will help build and sell through digital marketing solutions and grow our client base in Bentonville. You will work collaboratively with the team to effectively identify opportunities and guide program execution and growth across key accounts.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop new opportunities with key clients within the demo/experiential business
    • Lead multiple accounts to drive incremental revenue
    • Work with the marketing teams to develop integrated marketing strategies including display, search, mobile and social channels
    • Direct all aspects of client business from strategy through proposal through execution with attention to quality and detail and the foresight to identify (and circumvent) potential red flags
    • Drive the evolution of digital innovation by staying abreast of the latest digital platforms, social trends and mobile technologies with the ability to strategically translate these into client programs
    • Serve as point of contact with clients, working directly on digital strategy
    • Orchestrate partnerships with teams across the designated customer ecosystem to manage priorities, schedules, and deliverables
    • Provide accurate financial management of client business from scoping to forecasting and budget reconciliation 

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in interactive media in some capacity (i.e. Search, Social, Display, Mobile, Programmatic, etc)
    • Proven ability to communicate program strategy and results through effective written and verbal story-telling
    • Technical web experience, such as expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, is a plus
    • Keen understanding of how site analytics tools work and the ability to pull and evaluate data
    • Experience planning, buying and managing multi-channel direct response programs
    • Sharp analytical and creative problem-solving skills

    Position Summary

     

    The Director Business Development is a high visibility position responsible for the direction and management of sales and business development operations including; presentation and RFP development, pricing, market competitiveness, and ROI value creation tools as well as overall growth strategies. 

     

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Execution

    • Work extensively with appropriate Customer teams within ASM to develop leads and appointments with customers
    • Work independently to generate own leads within key target customers
    • Develop long term relationships within key customer/client targets
    • Develop and deliver sales and capabilities presentations, prepare and answer RFP’s, and have a clear understanding of the competitive landscape
    • Work closely with VP Client Services / VP Operations and (respective teams as appropriate) to ensure customer’s expectations are met  and overall business plans and strategies are achieved
    • Build and manage internal cross-functional teams of subject matter experts and/or to ensure business wins (IT, Finance, etc.)
    • Responsible for quantifying each potential new business opportunity in respect to revenue and profitability in conjunction with Operations and Finance

    Planning

    • Coordinate objectives of the overall business development plan with all of the functional departments of the company as necessary
    • Lead the development and implementation of an overall business development marketing strategy including competitive analysis and obtaining approval from senior management team
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly updates to the plan as needed and communicate updates to VP Client Services and management team

    Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

     

    Travel and/or Driving Requirements

    • Travel and Driving are essential duties and functions of this job 
    • Travel up to 60 %

    Minimum Qualifications

     

    The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

     

    Education Level or equivalent experience

     

                      (Required):     High School Diploma or GED       

                      (Preferred):   Bachelor's Degree                                 

     

    Field of Study/Area of Experience: 

    • Business management or marketing
    • 8-10 years of experience in sales develo9pment or sale management
    • Experience in client communications and negotiations
    • Entrepreneurial experience

    • Proven track record of reaching sales goals
    • Strong leadership ability with customers and associates
    • Consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills

    Office-Sedentary Requirements

     

    Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.  A detailed Environmental & Physical Requirements document is available in the Compensation department.
