    Responsibilities

    Position Summary      

                                                

    The National Director Field Operations is responsible for supporting all retail initiatives within the U.S. to ensure client and customer retail standards are met and volume metrics attained.  Requires frequent interaction with Division Vice Presidents and Client Senior Leadership as well as collaborates with retail personnel at all levels, members of local office management, and client and customer contacts to maintain retail effectiveness.

     

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Customer / Client Relations (Internal / External)

    • Achieve retail objectives through frequent and consistent interactions with Clients, Customers, and key Company personnel
    • Attend and present to clients and customers during top to top meetings in order to demonstrate value of continuity retail and continuous need for investment
    • Lead retail presentations during new business interview process, demonstrating value of retail
    • ASM points of differentiation, and superior technology platform
    • Craft and implement retail solutions to accommodate client needs and funding

     Administration / Reporting

    • Increase retail effectiveness by communicating and reporting all competitive information, consumer complaints, and Customer and Client concerns in a timely manner to key office personnel as well as ASM senior leadership

     Supervisory

    • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning associates and following up on work results
    • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training associate
    • Achieve job results through the coaching, counseling, and discipline of associates; monitoring, planning and appraising job results
    • Consistently recruit and promote “top graded” talent, creating pipeline for future ASM management

     Budget / Expense Control

    • Control expense / budget by aggressively and proactively managing retail funds and labor expenses.
    • Actively pursue additional retail revenue from new and existing clients in an effort to grow topline revenue

    Project Scheduling / Coordination / Management / Maintenance

    • Achieve business objectives by prioritizing, and organizing multiple retail priorities with retail personne
    • Accomplish specific Client goals and objectives by establishing a business plan based on season and demand and directing retail appropriately

    Supervisory Responsibilities

     

    Direct Reports

    Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

     

    Indirect Reports

    May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

     

    Travel and/or Driving Requirements

     

    Travel and Driving are essential duties and function of this job 

    Travel up to         75%

     

    Minimum Qualifications

     

    Education Level: (Required)    Bachelor's Degree  or equivalent experience                 

    • 2-4 years of experience in Field Operations client/customer experience within the sales and marketing agency industry or a direct sales company
    • 5-7 years of supervisory experience
    • Strong initiative and self-directed, ability to work independently with little or no supervision
    • Strong understanding of Broker retail operations

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

    • Skill in supervising to include delegating responsibility, training and evaluating performance
    • Strong prioritization skills
    • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
    • Analytical and research Skills
    • Strong written communication and verbal communication skills
    • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers 

    Environmental & Physical Requirements

     

    Office / Sedentary Requirements

    Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.  A detailed Environmental and Physical Requirements document is available in the Total Rewards department.
